The Lupine Hornpipe

The forest dark,
The moon is high.
Run and flee,
The feral cry.

Don’t stop, don’t turn around.
You’ve trespassed on troubled ground.

Cry out! Let your fear escape.
Slow down, hot breath on your nape.

Cursed man, catch you if he can.
Reach town, seek the holy man.

Yeah…

The river quick,
Too deep to cross.
Try to swim,
All hope is lost.

Don’t stop, don’t turn around.
Jump now, you will surely drown.

Sing out! Pray that help is near.
Heartbeat, pounding in your ear.

Wild man, in the fevered chase.
Blood lust, looking for a taste.

Well…

Bridge of stone,
Has shown the way.
Burning legs,
So far away.

Don’t stop, don’t turn around.
Fall now, you will ne’er be found.

Call out! Give your fear a name.
Blood flows, slashing wounds a-flame.

Beast man, eyes of burning red.
Quick now, or you’re surely dead.

Hah…

Run to find,
The safest place.
Seek to end,
The deadly race

Don’t stop, don’t turn around.
Foot falls, thumping on the ground.

Scream out! Someone has to hear.
Shadows, death is coming near.

Doomed man, savage heart is burst.
Silver, ends the bloody thirst.

Done.
